Aaron Hunnel is a military veteran with over 10 years of professional speaking, coaching and training experience in a variety of industries. Currently, he serves as a Leadership and Coaching Consultant for Corporate Warrior Consulting and formerly served as Director of Wellness and Resilience for the Wisconsin Air National Guard (WING). Aaron has extensive experience designing and providing Motivational Interview (MI) trainings as part of WING’s 5-day Leaders Course. This MI initiative trained leaders how to support behavior change for their soldiers and culture change for their units.
Aaron holds a a Master’s degree in Organizational Change Leadership from UW-Platteville and completed advanced study in Motivational Interviewing at UW-Stevens Point. Aaron’s extensive work with the military includes leadership development, health promotion, behavior change, culture change, and organizational development – all of which has been scaled on national levels across the Department of Defense.
When he’s not speaking or training others, Aaron can be found pushing his mind and body in a variety of endurance events, and also takes pride serving his community. Aaron has kickstarted various veteran initiatives to help improve veteran mental health and reduce suicide. In 2021, Aaron biked 3000 miles from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD to raise money for these veteran initiatives. Aaron is a recognized “Top 25 National Wellness Professional” with the Wellness Council of America and a certified Intrinsic Coach. But his favorite titles are father, friend, and husband.
